It's the smallest (75-81 cm with a wingspan reaching 1, 98 m) but
maybe the most beautiful albatross living at Amsterdam Island.
Entirely brown sooty, the
circle of white feathers surrounding its eyes is the only detail justifying is name of
albatross...
Less common than the yellow-nosed albatross, he nests in the cliffs
south-west of the island in places as windy but still more steep...
Its relatively small wingspan allows him to show a flight very graceful and changing.
